If you have been following me on social media, you’ve no doubt recognized one of my more often used hashtags: #shebelievedshecouldsoshedid. This continues to be my mantra. It keeps me motivated and grounded. It keeps me believing – in myself, in the process, and in the audience of children for whom my books are written. They are the ultimate destination—their sense of discovery, their love of books, their giggles, and their joy!

When I created my brand – GiGi Tales Books – I defined my purpose and articulated my “why.” As an author, I will use my gifts to be an authentic voice who delivers on my promise to:

Create joyful, heartwarming, and uplifting picture books written to engage and inspire young readers.
(Adults will enjoy them, too!)

My purpose is my compass and my guardrails. I even put it on the bookmarks I created. So when options, curveballs, and questions threaten to trip me up, I remember my why. I remember the goal. I remember the audience. And I remember to have FUN!
